Robot Charactertic | Students Name Lim Jing Xien is a 11 years old robotics student attending his robotics class at e@Robotclub Kulim (Robokidz Learning Centre) under coaching of Mr Quah. He has attended the robotics class since end of 2015. Robot Name ‘Hovercraft Robot’ Robot Product ROBOTIS Dream Kit Robot Characteristics Jing Xien made a hovercraft robot that can float and move on waters. This hovercraft is supported by polyform to float in the water. Critical components such as controller and geared motors are placed high above the water, to prevent any damages. There are 2 motors to turn the fans that will navigate the hovercraft. One is at the bottom, and another one is at the back. This hovercraft robot is pre-programmed to change the speed and direction of the fan rotation, which will navigate its movement.. We can add in sensors too, to move the hovercraft to its destination, and to prevent collision with other objects. This hovercraft can be used as a water transporter for light items. I learn robotics at Robokidz Learning Centre in Kulim, Kedah. Using parts and components in Dreams Level 1 and 2, I have built a hovercraft, supported by polyform to float in the water.
