Robot Charactertic | Hi! We've learnt about Robotics during PishRobot's STEM based Bioloid classes in our school. We've made a Robotic Hand. Now, I want to talk about its advantages. When a robotic arm is made, a gripper might be installed on it. To pick up different objects by robots, different Grippers are made for them. For example, one kind of gripper can pick up spherical objects. But most of Grippers don’t have all the abilities of human's hand. Human’s hand could pick up different objects in different shapes. So if we add a Gripper similar to Human Hand to a Robotic Arm it can pick up objects with different shapes. When you open and close your hand, as you see, tendons are being pulled. In this robotic hand the invisible threads perform tendon's role. When each invisible thread is pulled the finger is bent. In our hand, muscles pull the tendons. But in robotic hand, motors act like muscles. Opening our hand is in our own will and our muscles and tendons do it. But in our Robotic hand, Rubber bands behind each finger act like a tendon to open the bent finger. To see how it works, we grab a ball using it. And to drop the ball we release the button then the hand returns to its initial form. Thank you for your attention.
