Robot Charactertic | This is a STEM project about Pyroelectric InfraRed sensing with automatic fan controller. Technical features : - Controller is OpenCM9.04 - Detect movement by using PIR sensor - Detection range is 10 feet maximum. - Fan is driven by AX-12A actuator. How it works : This project demonstrates about PIR sensing with the live body such as human or warm-blooded animal. The PIR sensor sends the sensing signal (active high logic) to OpenCM9.04 controller board. The controller board drives AX-12 actuator in wheel mode 360 degree to rotate the attached fan blade. It looks alike intelligent fan. When the live body move out of the detection area, the controller still works until 3 minutes left. The actuator is stop. The fan also stops rotation. Why do we delay 3 minutes ? Because it possible the live body walks around, out and back to detection area within 3 minutes. The fan still works and resense automatic. If delay is too short, the fan will off and on so many times. It looks not intelligent.
