| Robot Charactertic | Hello Every One. We are students of Mofid 3 High School from Tehran, Iran. We have learned about robotics by attending in PishRobot's Bioloid classes. We have made a Rescue Robot for Robocup Rescue Junior League based on Bioloid Comprehensive kit and some other accessories. Our Rescue Robot could trace lines, Move in Ramps and Slopes, Detect and move along walls, scan a room and find objects like cans and grip and move them to a place and also detect colors in ceiling. We have used Dynamixel AX-12A as actuators of our robot and CM-5 as main controller of Robot and programmed it using Roboplus software, To sense the environment we should add some sensors that are not included in Bioloid Comprehensive kit. So we used interface modules that are produced by PishRobot to interface such sensors. For example Devantech’s SRF08 is a very good ultrasonic range finer module that gives data on I2C bus. So we have used PishRobot’s DXL-I2C module that gets data from I2C bus and exports it to Dynamixel format. We have also used IR object detectors with Analog outputs and connected them to PishRobot’s DXL-IO module to be able to read their data through Dynamixel bus. DXL-IO is a useful product that adds 8 ports of Analog Input and 8 ports of selectable Digital Input, Digital output or PWM output for normal RC Servo motors to CM-5 or other controllers work with Dynamixel. We have also used PishRobot’s DXL-CLD which is a color detection module that learns colors we teach to it and detects it whenever the robot moves over it.
